Прошли те времена, когда в качестве межкомнатных дверей использовали шторки. Сейчас каждый человек пытается уединиться, чувствовать себя защищено и комфортно. Для этого и используется дверь, хорошо бы, если еще с замком. Но, к сожалению, не все межкомнатные двери продаются с замками. Или экономные хозяева не хотят менять старые надёжные двери ради новых с защёлками. Как быть в таком случае?
Ответ предельно прост: установить замок в межкомнатную дверь своими руками. Процесс этот не сложный, достаточно приобрести нужный замок, сделать все замеры и аккуратно поработать инструментом. Ознакомившись с детальным руководством, представленным ниже, сделать это будет совсем просто.
Что нужно учитывать
Решив заняться мастерством, нужно сначала проверить, можно ли врезать замок в вашу дверь. Для этого измеряется ширина вертикального бруса. Если она больше 40 мм, будьте спокойны, и приступайте к работе.
Далее, изучается материал, из которого сделана дверь. У каждого есть свои особенности. Например, в деревянную дверь можно врезать замок в любом месте, а в дверь из МДФ — строго на уровне 1 м от пола. Именно там находится деревянная перегородка.
Межкомнатный замок с кнобом
Замок стоит выбирать, учитывая личные вкусы. Большой популярностью пользуются устройства с кнобом. Но можно покупать и отдельно замок, а отдельно — ручку. Дизайн всевозможный, каждый покупатель найдёт свою модель. Убедитесь, что вам нужен именно такой механизм, уточните, как он закрывается.
Необходимые инструменты
Установка замков в межкомнатные двери своими руками невозможна без использования специального инструмента. Итак, для этой работы понадобится:
дрель или перфоратор;
направляющие и перьевые свёрла;
разметочный угольник;
стамеска;
ножовка;
долото.

Далее проанализируем последовательность действий при установке замка в деревянную дверь.
Этапы работы
Действия по установке замка в межкомнатную дверь можно условно разделить на 5 этапов:
Замеры и разметка.
Сверление нужных отверстий.
Монтаж защёлки.
Установка кноба.
Крепление конструкции.
Замеры и разметка
Купленный замок нужно приложить к предполагаемому месту установки обвести контур карандашом. Оптимальная высота — 965 мм. от пола. Но если у вас дверь деревянная, высоту можете выбирать любую, главное, чтобы вам и членам семьи было удобно.
С помощью разметочного угольника нужно провести линии на торце двери. Чтобы замок врезать ровно, необходимо соединить центры разметки линией. Полученная таким образом вертикальная линия послужит основой разметки. От неё в обе стороны следует отступить на расстояние, равное половине ширины и сделать отметки. По периметру образовавшегося прямоугольника необходимо сделать насечки.
Сверление нужных отверстий
Отверстия сверлятся дрелью. Для каждого подбирается коронка нужного диаметра с учётом размера механизма. Чтобы замок надёжно вошел в отверстие, тщательно подбирайте диаметр коронки. Для ручки не нужно сразу сверлить сквозную дыру. Лучше прекратить работу с одной стороны, как только покажется сверло с другой. Перейти на обратный бок двери и продолжить работу, иначе, можно повредить структуру древесины. Или сверлить каждую сторону до середины. 
Чтобы сделать отверстие для замочного механизма, необходимо расположить сверло точно в центре разметки торцевой части и просверлить сквозную дыру.
А далее, вставить защёлку и обвести видимую часть по периметру. Это нужно для того, чтобы вырезать углубление, в котором «утонет» замок. Сделать это можно с помощью стамески. Главное, не спешить, а каждое движение координировать.
Монтаж защёлки
Когда вся подготовительная работа выполнена, можно смело ставить защёлку в проём. Зафиксировав её точное положение, нужно сделать разметку под саморезы для крепления. Теперь замок опять вытаскивается и дрелью делаются отверстия для закручивания саморезов. Опять вставляется защёлка и надёжно фиксируется саморезами.
Установка кноба
Для установки кноба необходимо зафиксировать стержень, закрыть дверь и отметить на косяке точное расположение замочного язычка. Измерить его линейкой и перенести замеры на косяк двери. Высверлить отверстие нужной глубины.
К этим отметкам следует приложить накладку и обвести её по контуру карандашом. Опять-таки, при помощи стамески доводится посадочное место нужной формы для накладки.
Крепление конструкции
Это заключительный этап, когда крепятся все составляющие замка саморезами. Не нужно спешить и прочно фиксировать всё сразу. Лучше несколько раз перепроверить, чтобы дверь закрывалась легко, ничего не мешало и не тёрло.
