Использование пеноплекса для утепления стен своими руками — это лёгкий и достаточно доступный способ сделать всё самому и не прибегать к помощи специалистов. Пеноплекс благодаря своей структуре превосходит по показателям теплопроводности любой другой теплоизоляционный материал. С его помощью можно утеплять абсолютно любые строения: балконы и лоджии, стены коттеджей, потолки и перекрытия. Пеноплекс легко режется и укладывается, но важно знать порядок работы с ним и клеящими составами.
Для работы вам понадобятся следующие материалы:
Листы пеноплекса
Клеящая смесь для плит
Сетка для наружных работ
Дюбеля — зонтики
Пена строительная
Для укладки и крепления пеноплекса вам необходимы следующие инструменты:
Шпатель маленький и большой
Шпатель с зубьями
Зубчатый валик или металлическая щётка
Дрель с буром 10 мм
Молоток
Шкурка
Общие положения в утеплении
При выборе вида пеноплекса обратите внимание не на плотность, а на коэффициент теплопроводности. При креплении листы должны плотно прилегать к стене и чётко располагаться между собой. Чтобы эффект от утепления был максимальным, пеноплекс укладывают не только на стены, но и на фронтон, фундамент и крышу. Для всех этих видов утепления пеноплекс выпускается в нужном формате (стена, фундамент, кровля, комфорт). 
Если вы утепляете деревянный дом, то не стоит срезать наружные стыки брёвен, это приведёт к промерзанию углов.
Утепление снаружи всегда наиболее предпочтительно, так как при внутреннем точка росы сдвигается внутрь и стены начинают мокреть. Появляется плесень и намокший утеплитель теряет свои свойства.
Преимущества пеноплекса перед другими утеплителями состоит в том, что:
В его основе содержится экструдированный пенополистирол — самый эффективный утеплитель.
Пеноплекс не требует укладки толстым слоем, что экономит расходные материалы и прост в монтаже.
Безвреден для человека.
Низкая водопоглащаемость и паропроницаемость.
Не вступает в реакцию с другими строительными материалами, кроме растворителей.
Однако, следует учесть, что пеноплекс имеет высокую горючесть.
Если же вы всё же решили сделать 2 слоя для утепления, то рекомендуется выстраивать второй слой в шахматном порядке, для того, чтобы закрыть возможные микрощели.
Подготовительные работы
Для того, чтобы сделать ваши стены тёплыми нужно начать с подготовительных работ.
Выравнивание поверхности стен от углублений и выпуклостей. Это очень важный момент, так как если его не выполнить, то при укладке можно повредить лист пеноплекса.
Зачистка поверхности от плохо держащих покрытий, которое может обсыпаться. Клей должен наноситься на поверхность, которая будет его держать.
Обработка поверхности грунтовкой. Для того, чтобы листы пеноплекса лучше прикрепились к стене рекомендуется сделать насечки на листах с помощью зубчатого валика для гипсокартона или металлической щёткой.
До начала работ с пеноплексом все откосы, отливы и подоконники должны быть зафиксированы.
При утеплении откосов пеноплекс крепится с выступом 1 см, чтобы впоследствии правильно и удобно стыковать угол.
Крепление пеноплекса
После подготовительных работ можно приступать к креплению. Более надёжным вариантом будет наклейка и прибивка утеплителя к стене. Для работы вам понадобится большой и маленький шпатель. Клеящий раствор перекладывается с маленького на большой и наносится толстыми кучками по всей поверхности листа. Сначала промазывается периметр, а затем накладываются кучки по всей площади. 
Можно воспользоваться и зубчатым шпателем, но только в том случае если перепады на стенах менее 1 см.
Работа всегда начинается с нижнего угла.
Для начала закрепляется стартовый профиль, который будет поддерживать листы. Это необходимо для того, чтобы пеноплекс не сползал и располагался ровно.
Смесь для приклейки плит лучше накидывать на стены, так как стена имеет неидеальную гладкость и немного шершавая, это поможет лучше схватиться теплоизолятору.
После нанесения смеси на стену и, промазывания клея на лист, прикладываем его к стене и плотно прижимаем.
После поклейки необходимо не трогать пеноплекс не менее 3 дней, чтобы клей успел схватиться.
Для того, чтобы всю работу сделать быстрее и проще делайте утепление зонами: высотой с ваш рост и шириной с подмости.
Для дальнейшей работы с приклеиванием сетки, выравнивающего слоя и обработки стыков лучше всего использовать универсальный вид клейкой смеси.
После поклейки листы пеноплекса необходимо ещё и прибить. Делать это лучше на тарельчатые дюбели — зонтики.
В продаже есть пластмассовые дюбеля с большой шляпкой и пластиковые или металлические дюбеля. Лучше для домашних работ выбирать пластиковые. Для того, чтобы правильно прибить пеноплекс:
В выбранном участке сверлим отверстия буром на 10 мм. Глубина отверстия должна быть больше, чем грибок на 2 см. Чтобы правильно рассчитать длину грибков прибавляем к толщине утеплителя 5 см в стену и 1 см на слой штукатурки. На 1 лист должно уйти не менее 6 зонтиков, в особенности стоит уделить внимание углам. Отверстия лучше делать на местах стыков, так как это лучше повлияет на крепление края и центра.
После проделывания отверстий вставляются дюбеля без гвоздей и забиваются молотком, так чтобы шляпка встала вровень с утеплителем. Чтобы сэкономить на времени вставляйте гвозди после того, как все дюбеля вбиты на всём участке.
Дополнительная обработка
Следующий шаг — обработка стыков. Если после крепления одного участка вы заметили щели больше 5 мм, то их обязательно нужно заполнить строительной пеной.
Если есть очень большие щели (более 2 см), то их нужно закрыть полосками утеплителя. Излишки пены, после застывания срезаются.
Если вы решили утеплить дом в 2 слоя, то сначала клеится первый слой, а затем на клей для плит крепится второй, со смещением стыков. Его также крепят на зонтики.
Последним шагом по утеплению идёт армирование. На углы приклеиваются пластиковые уголки или щелочеустойчивая сетка для наружных работ. Если вы выбрали сетку, то делайте её с нахлестом 5 см и ещё оставляйте кончики 5 см без смеси, для стыковки. После углов нужно приклеить сетку на все участки утеплителя. Для этого широким шпателем на участок наносится смесь толщиной в 2 — 3 мм и прикладывается сетка. Не забудьте оставить для стыковки 10 см. Далее, шпателем разглаживается поверхность сетки от центра к краям, чтобы она вошла в клей. Для стыковки промазываем новую область и заходим раствором на оставленной сухой область предыдущей сетки. Новый кусок сетки делается внахлёст на старую. Работать лучше с участками 1Х1 м. Когда клей высохнет его затирают тёркой с наждаком. Сверху накладывают 2 — 3 мм выравнивающего слоя. Перед тем, как вы будете делать финишную отделку, обработайте стену грунтовкой.
