Двери с использованием шпона отличаются высоким уровнем устойчивости к механическим повреждениям, индифферентностью к перепадам температуры и влажности, а также малым весом. Говоря о недостатках нельзя не отметить плохую ремонтопригодность и устойчивость к воздействию ультрафиолета. Его обильное влияние не редко приводит к образованию пятен на поверхности двери.
Ламинированные двери — основой такой дверной конструкции служит сосновый клееный брус, что облицован при помощи плит ДСП или МДФ. Пустое пространство заполняется сотами из картона или ДСП. Поверхностное покрытие ламинируется. Ламинированная дверь очень неустойчива к механическому урону. Небольшое ударное повреждение может привести всю конструкцию в полную негодность.
Дверь из пластика, стекла или алюминия. Стеклянные вставки в межкомнатных дверях встречаются довольно часто. Кроме того, что стекло способствует наполнению комнаты светом, оно еще и придает ощущение безграничного пространства. Говоря об отрицательных свойствах, следует отметить, что такие двери очень недолговечны. Стекло подвержено образованию сколов и трещин, к тому же легко бьется. Алюминий и пластик считается очень прочным материалом, способным выдерживать сильные нагрузки и повреждения.
Рассмотрев все вариации современных дверей и проанализировав их свойственные качества, можно с уверенностью сказать, что не прослужат долго двери, которые обладают высоким уровнем хрупкости и лишены влагостойкости. Именно к таким можно отнести двери ламинированного типа. Дополнительное наличие в дверной конструкции стекла может сделать такую ее еще более уязвимой.
