Он выгодно подчеркивает любой стиль дома и участка в целом, а также не доставляет больших хлопот при монтаже или ремонте, выполнить которые несложно своими руками. Особую любовь и доверие заслужил забор-лесенка.
Характеристики забора «лесенка»
На установку забора-лесенки, конечно, уходит значительно больше времени, нежели на простенький классический вариант — деревянный штакетник.

Однако такой вид ограждения имеет целый набор достоинств.
- Горизонтальное расположение досок внахлест не позволяет скапливаться воде и снегу. Это становится еще одним фактором защиты забора от сырости и гниения;
- Конструкция лесенки (еще одно название — елочка) представляет собой двустороннее ограждение, внешне напоминающее сайдинг. Так, экологичный аналог становится еще и выгодным решением относительно денежных затрат;
- Забор-лесенка, благодаря наличию отверстий, является еще и продуваемым вариантом ограждения, за счет чего становится защищенным от воздействий внешних факторов;
- Плотное сооружение защищает частные дома от дорожной пыли и грязи.
Готовые пролеты лесенки напоминают ступеньки. Чтобы установить забор своими руками, достаточно соединить секции воедино.
Для установки забора жалюзи используется несколько типов досок:
- Строганная заборная подходит для всех видов ограждения.
- Состаренная — для любителей оригинальных декоров.
- Необрезная похожа на горбыль, но, в отличие от него, ее края обработаны частично или не обработаны вовсе.
- Декоративная, эффектный вид которой обеспечивают опиленные торцы и кромки.
Установка забора-лесенки своими руками
Изначально монтаж может показаться довольно сложным и непонятным процессом, но деревянный забор этого типа легко поддается самостоятельной установке после поэтапного рассмотрения конструкции и всей последовательности действий.
Материалы для ограждения
Главной составляющей лесенки являются основательно просушенный материал подходящих размеров, хорошо обработанные доски спецраствором. Чересчур узкие доски испортят внешний вид забора и не придадут необходимой декоративности. Подбирать несущие детали, к коим относятся прожилины и столбы, тоже стоит основательно.
Оригинальный декор ограды типа Лесенка
Итак, для забора-лесенки понадобятся:
- Стальные трубы из профиля 60 х 60 мм;
- Сухая строганная доска, желательные размеры которой 25 х 120мм;
- Для перемычек — стальной профиль 60 х 20 мм;
- Шуруповерт, саморезы, рулетка и уровень;
- Антисептический раствор для обработки деревянного забора;
- Краска или лак для покрытия.
Трубу из профиля вполне можно заменить столбиками из бетона или опор из дерева, просто лаги удобнее крепить к металлическим основаниям.
Работы на участке
Если старый деревянный забор пришел в негодность, но основа вполне пригодна для повторного использования, можно убрать прежнее покрытие и установить новое. Лучше всего предварительно укрепить расшатавшиеся столбы и лаги, устранить перекосившиеся элементы каркаса и даже заменить непригодные детали. Каркас деревянного забора нужно покрасить и дождаться его полного высыхания.
Процесс установки ограждения из дерева
Для установки забора с самого основания территорию придется тщательно подготовить: очистить от мусора и травы, разровнять поверхность почвы. Желательная прогонная ширина, как и для любого другого деревянного забора, должна быть не меньше двух и не больше трех метров. Сначала отмечается место для самых крайних опор, затем от первой опоры откладывается ширина прогона, за которым идет следующая отметка для опоры — и так до последнего крайнего столба-опоры.
Для забора с поворотами от одного конца проводят перпендикуляр и, далее, точно так же вымеряют число прогонов.
На местах-разметках под столбы бурятся ямы. Можно делать это при помощи спецтехники, а можно справиться и своими руками. Хорошим подспорьем в этом деле окажется бур, который не только ускорит процесс, но и сделает углубления более аккуратными. 
Кстати! Именно грунт и высота забора указывают на то, какими должны быть углубления. В слабый грунт столбы заделывают на глубину не менее одного метра. То же самое касается и высоких конструкций. Для небольшого забора в плотный грунт столбы устанавливаются на 80 см.
Установка столбов и лагов
На 15 см в углубления для столбов засыпается щебень с песком. Каждый столб (либо деревянный, либо металлический) предварительно обрабатывают защитными растворами, чтобы избежать гниения или коррозии, и выравнивают в вертикальном направлении. Для более прочной установки столбы можно укрепить деревянными подпорками. 
Песок, насыпанный вместе со щебнем в ямы, поливается водой. Эта смесь должна занимать треть вырытого углубления, остальное пространство с установленным столбом бетонируется, приготовленным в домашних условиях своими руками. На высыхание опоры должно уйти не менее трех дней.
Для каждого пролета на одном уровне крепятся по два лага, однако, если высота забора более 2,2 м, то таких их требуется три. Нижняя и верхняя прожилины крепятся на 15 см от земли и также на 15 см от верха столбов. И столбы, и прожилины после окончательной установки лучше всего сразу же покрасить с целью дополнительной защиты.
Крепление основы
Идеально ровные и сухие — именно такими должны быть доски для обшивки. Непросохшая доска может в дальнейшем изменить форму, тогда вся работа потеряет смысл. Прежде чем крепить доски, их следует обработать специальным защитным составом, а уже после покрасить два раза, чтобы результат был более эффектным.
Обшивка основы начинается снизу. Доска горизонтально прикладывается к столбам и лагу и прикручивается либо прибивается поверху. Затем внахлест крепится вторая доска. Края тщательно выравниваются. После одного прогона приступают к следующему, точно подгоняя торцевые стороны. Если постараться, то и своими руками можно сделать качественную и аккуратную работу.
Крепление досок к столбам с помощью шурупов
Деревянный забор легко поддается внешним воздействиям, таким как дождь, ветер, вредители, поэтому не будет лишней дополнительная защитная обработка забора после окончательной его установки. Антисептики и лакокрасочные материалы станут в этом вопросе самыми подходящими средствами. Подобный уход должен стать регулярной процедурой для хорошей защиты и продления срока эксплуатации.
