Сопротивлением называют характеристику проводника, описывающую его способность препятствовать прохождению электрического тока. Она увеличивается с повышением силы и/или понижением напряжения тока, идущего по проводу. Другими словами, чем ниже сопротивление проводника, тем выше напряжение тока, который он способен пропускать. Поэтому сопротивление провода — важная характеристика.
Если сопротивление слишком высокое, произойдет перегрев металла, снизится напряжение тока. В реальных условиях подобные случаи приводят к пожару. Поэтому для изготовления проводников используют материалы, которые обладают одними из самых низких показателей — медь и алюминий. Лучше проводят электричество только серебро и золото. Но проводов из них не производят по понятным причинам.
Существует масса стандартов, которые не позволят производителю создавать продукцию, опасную для использования с переменным током 220 В/50 Гц. Поэтому можно не беспокоиться о том, подойдет ли купленный товар для применения. Необходимо знать, как проверить сопротивление, чтобы определить, есть ли разрывы на линии. При их наличии показатель повышается. Кроме этого, данная характеристика позволяет узнать о работоспособности трансформаторов, предохранителей, ТЭНов, плат — тех устройств, о состоянии которых нужно знать заранее, где недопустимо правило «Проверю во время работы агрегата».
Какое оборудование использовать?
Для замера этого показателя лучше всего пользоваться мультиметром. Это универсальное устройство, которым можно измерять также силу тока, напряжение проводника, емкость батареи.
Существует два типа мультиметров:
Цифровые — современные устройства, которые моментально выводят интересующие показатели на экран. Преимущества — в высокой скорости, удобстве работы, точности. Замер сопротивления провода мультиметром — дело нескольких секунд. Недостаток — дороговизна и сложность ремонта по сравнению с аналоговыми приборами. Поэтому не стоит рассматривать подобный вариант, если есть деньги только на дешевую модель — изделие может быстро выйти из строя, а его ремонт окажется нецелесообразным.
Аналоговые — показатели отображаются на шкале, по которой перемещается стрелка. Работать с подобными изделиями сложнее, но они проще устроены. Средние по стоимости модели служат намного дольше аналогичных в своей категории цифровых устройств.
Если есть прибор, позволяющий замерить только напряжение и силу тока, узнать интересующий показатель можно с помощью расчета. Формула, выходящая из закона Ома:
R = U/I, где R — искомая величина, U — напряжение, I — сила тока.
Выполняем замер
Алгоритм измерения сопротивления кабелей:
Работа начинается с проверки мультиметра.
Провод, подключаемый к черному щупу, устанавливают в разъем COM, а другой — в гнездо VΩmA.
Переключатель устройства устанавливается в положение Ω, значение 200 (измерение сопротивлений в диапазоне 0—200 Ом).
Щупы замыкают между собой (притрагиваются ими друг к другу).
Если появилось значение из диапазона 0,3—0,7 Ом, прибор работает нормально.
Проверить обоими щупами жилы кабеля. При этом сами щупы не должны соприкасаться друг с другом.
На табло цифрового прибора высветится значение. Стрелка аналогового устройства переместиться по шкале. Как правило, сопротивление кабелей, используемых в домашних условиях, находится в диапазоне 0,7—1,5 Ом.
Если в процессе измерений нет результатов, но вы точно уверены, что прибор исправен, нужно переместить переключатель в более широкий диапазон 0—2000 Ом.
Процесс продолжается до тех пор, пока не найден нужный диапазон. Если сопротивление проводника слишком высокое — он поврежден.
Поиск места повреждения — отдельная тема. Проводка, проложенная в стенах, тестируются с помощью специального прибора. Предварительно рекомендуем сократить круг поиска, прозвонив распаячные коробки комнат.

Несколько правил, которых нужно придерживаться при поиске сопротивлений кабелей:
Мультиметр нужно проверять на работоспособность перед тем, как измерить сопротивление каждого из кабелей. Неизвестно, выйдет ли из строя прибор после очередного теста. Хотя они достаточно долговечны. Некоторые используют изделия, купленные при СССР.
Перед работой просчитайте, какое сопротивление должны иметь кабели. Как это сделать, описано ниже.
В ходе работы держитесь только за неметаллические участки щупа. Прикосновение к жалам может исказить результаты. Тот, кто измерял небольшие детали, знает, что можно придерживать их только одной рукой — тогда искажения не будет.
На измеряемой поверхности не должно быть грязи, влаги, посторонних веществ. Лучше немного зачистить кабель перед работой.
Каким должен быть показатель?
Самый простой метод определения — внимательно прочесть маркировку проводника. На современных изделиях есть вся необходимая информация о том, какое сопротивление создается жилами, для какого тока они предназначены.
Иногда приходится проводить тестирование старых кабелей, на которых надписи либо отсутствовали вовсе, либо стерлись. Узнать, каким должно быть сопротивление кабеля можно, посчитав его. Расчет сопротивления выполняется по формуле:
R=(ρ*l)/S,
где R — искомая величина, ρ — удельное сопротивление материала (измеряется в Ом•мм2/м, табличное значение), l — длина провода, S — площадь проводника.
Обратите внимание, что удельное сопротивление всегда указывается в Ом•мм2/м. Поэтому длина провода берется в метрах, что позволяет узнать удельное сопротивление всего отрезка, а площадь сечения, подставляемая в формулу, обязательно переводится в мм2.
Результаты расчёта могут немного отличаться от реальных значений, так как конкретное удельное сопротивление зависит от металла. Если в нем есть какие-либо примеси, проводник может иметь более высокий или более низкий показатель. Также мультиметр может немного ошибаться. Поэтому, если показания прибора и полученные расчеты расходятся на несколько процентов — не страшно.
